White Tara Mandala
A sacred geometric representation used in Tibetan Buddhism to symbolize the pure dwelling of the deity of longevity, healing, and serenity. At the center, White Tara is seated in a meditative posture upon a lotus throne, distinguished by her white complexion and peaceful expression. She is framed by an intricate square “palace” with four ceremonial gateways, which are surrounded by vibrant, multi-colored concentric circles filled with scrolling vine patterns and traditional motifs.
The artwork features a sophisticated palette of gold, earth tones, and jewel-like colors set against a bold black background, creating a high-contrast effect that emphasizes the fine detail. In the four corners of the composition, majestic golden phoenixes or celestial birds are depicted with flowing plumage, adding a sense of movement and divine protection to the piece. This Thangka-style mandala serves as both a profound spiritual tool for visualization and a masterpiece of symmetrical design.
